April 29, 2008 Meeting Summary

Matt Blaha gave a simple, but effective talk on the optparse and subprocess modules in the Python standard library. These libraries are used for parsing command-line arguments and executing external commands, respectively. Our attendance was up a bit from last time to 8.

There was some talk at the end of the meeting about Python 3k changes. Once its release becomes closer, we will probably have a talk about the big changes in Python 3k. We also talked about possibly changing the meeting times to the evening (at least for the Summer). This would make it easier for non-OU people to come.
