January 28, 2008 Meeting Summary
Ryan May gave a presentation on using the iPython interactive shell. If you've only been using the standard Python interactive shell, you don't know what you're missing. The iPython shell lets you do a lot of neat tricks with interactive programming, and you can even using it as a replacement for a system shell.
We had 12 people today, which is still a pretty good showing. We are planning on having EricBruning doing a presentation on Django at the next meeting in 4 to 6 weeks. A talk about numpy and performance is also in the works.
