June 26, 2008 Meeting Summary

Kevin Smith gave a presentation on iterators and generators. This included the basics of iterators to using the yield statement to create generators to the itertools package. Some more advanced techniques of generators such as the send() method and generator comprehensions were touched on. The slides are available in iter.pdf.

This was the first meeting where we had food, and it seemed to be a big hit. We'll make sure to have food at every meeting from now on.
