About OPy
OPy, the Oklahoma Python User Group, was founded in October of 2007 at the National Weather Center in Norman, OK. We have a list of members at MembersList.
Topic Requests
If you have any Python topics you would like to see presented in an OPy meeting, let us know at TopicRequests. While the group is mostly made up of weather researchers, we welcome any programming topics.
Next Meeting
The next OPy meeting will be held on April 23rd in the Alpha Room in One Partner's Place (near the National Weather Center) at noon. Food and drinks will be available again. In addition, we will have a drawing for two Python related prizes supplied by the Pearson Education User Group Program. The talk will be an introduction to Python 3 given by Ryan May.
Meeting Summaries
Mailing List
OPy has a mailing list at python.org for announcements, meeting details, or just conversations about Python in general. Please join in you are interested.
Favorite Python Links
We are keeping a list of our favorite Python resources on the web. Since the group is being started mainly by a group of weather researchers, they tend to lean a bit towards the scientific end of the spectrum. The links are outlined in FavoritePythonLinks.
